In 2016, the French authorities dismantled the so-called "Jungle de Calais," a camp located on the outskirts of this northern city of France that came to house thousands of migrants. Many then shared the same objective: to cross the Channel of the Mancha and to reach the United Kingdom. Ten years later, despite the dismantling of the camp and the tightening of border controls, this objective remains in place for many of those who remain in the area.
