The railway accident in Toledo once again puts the focus on the safety of rail transport in Spain. The sinister, which left victims and reopened the investigation into the conditions of operation on the network, is in addition to a number of incidents that have generated concern in recent years. Just nine months ago, another accident on the same line, at the height of Adamuz, left dozens dead. Both events have revived the debate on the state of infrastructure, control systems and prevention measures on railway networks.
