A mission of the Huti rebels, the third of the week against the same target, reached Rey Khalid airport in Riyadh on 12 October, leaving 12 dead and 309 injured, according to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority. The Saudi-led coalition confirmed that the militia, supported by Iran, was the author of the attack. The airport suspended its operations and over 600 flights were cancelled. The coalition promises to respond and the United States assesses joining the fight against the Hutti.
