Live: Ukrainian capital is under missile attack, says city mayor

Russia holds parliamentary elections while prolonging the invasion of Ukraine

The polling stations opened on Friday, September 18, in the Russian Far East at the beginning of a three-day vote for the parliamentary elections, the first since Moscow launched its large-scale invasion of Ukraine. The main party of the Kremlin, United Russia, stands out to maintain its control of power along with other formations aligned with President Vladímir Putin, as the only party that criticized the war was excluded from the electoral ballot.
