The Bolivian Attorney General, Roger Mariaca, was arrested in Santa Cruz, accused by the Government of allegedly leading a criminal organization operating within the Public Prosecutor's Office to protect drug trafficking activities. The arrest took place two days after the United States revoked the visa for alleged bribes and coincided with a security approach between the Latin American country and Washington.
