The United States decided on Friday to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court, which was committed to paralysing it hours after the Nobel Peace Prize Commission was awarded the previous Judge of the Court, Navi Pillay. The Criminal Court denounced what it described as " aggression against the rule of law " , while European States, as well as Canada and Japan, declared support to the Court in the face of United States sanctions.
