In France, student protests against the conditions of education and lack of cadres and resources in educational institutions continue, as tensions escalate in a number of cities. While student unions assert their commitment to their demands, some moves have turned into riots and vandalism for dozens of secondary schools, resulting in injuries and arrests. In an effort to contain the crisis, the Government opens a dialogue with student representatives and parents, while some Parisian suburbs are experiencing intermittent confrontations between protestors and security forces.
