More than 60,000 faithful gathered at the Centenary Stadium of Montevideo to participate in the vigil presided over by Pope Leo XIV, one of the most massive events of his visit to Uruguay. During his message, the Pontiff called for the strengthening of fraternity, encouraged young people to become involved in the life of the Church and highlighted social works and the development of renewable energies in the country. It also reiterated the Church's position in defence of life, in a context marked by the discussions on abortion and euthanasia.
