The Colombian authorities captured the wife and daughter of José Adolfo Macías Villar, alias "Fito," a former leader of the Ecuadorian criminal organization Los Choneros. The detainees were required by the Ecuadorian justice system for alleged asset laundering, they left Ecuador to Colombia by land, first to Bogotá and then in the Santander department.
