The United List party, of outgoing Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, won the legislative elections in Latvia, with 35.3% of the votes and 42 of the 100 seats, an unprecedented result in the country's democratic history. Although this result should preserve the pro-European and pro-Ukrainian orientation of the Baltic country, the populists are making clear progress.
