Egypt: 2 military officers killed during a campaign to combat gold mining on the border with the Sudan

Two Egyptian army officers were killed in the background of a military campaign against illegal gold drilling operations in eastern Sahara on the border with the Sudan. The Egyptian authorities arrested 540 persons of foreign nationality.
