The National Police of Ecuador, with support from the United States Southern Command and the DEA, captured 39 persons allegedly linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, in an operation carried out in the provinces of Guayas, Los Ríos and El Oro. According to the Minister of the Interior, John Reimberg, the structure operated directly with the Mexican criminal network, without brokering local bands.
