The import of tires in the country has increased by 50% in two years.

The import of tires suddenly grew. The pressure on foreign currency is increasing. However, several companies produce tires in the country. After a couple of years of construction, other factories have been able to produce after the closure of the Ayotzinapa group. The import is still growing in domestic factories. According to the National Tax Board (NBR), more than 64 million tires were imported during 2023-24 years of bicycle, motorcycles, private cars, buses and trucks.
