Why did London turn its consulate in Jerusalem under the name "British Mission"?

Britain decided to convert its consulate in Jerusalem under the name " British Mission " , as stated by Thursday, noting that this administration, which has been active there for some 200 years, will continue to operate but on a limited scale. This comes after Tel Aviv decided to close the consulate in response to the sanctions imposed on its settlements.
