The protests against Benjamin Netanyahu ' s speech before the United Nations were not limited to activists in support of the Palestinian cause, but also to Jewish American associations and organizations. These groups raised demands for the cessation of the arming of Israel and the end of the war, as well as the call for the accountability of the Israeli Government. In New York, protests turned into confrontations with the police and ended with the arrest of a number of participants, including the American representative Susan Sarandon.
