North Korea launches a ballistic missile that went over 700 kilometres; Seoul is on alert
The missile was fired from the Wonsan area into the Japanese sea and flew more than 700 kilometres. South Korea strengthened monitoring of possible new launches and convened an emergency meeting, in the midst of a further increase in tensions between Seoul and Pyongyang.
