'The Blue Fighter': Zimbabwean author Kundizeza wins 2026 Caine Prize
A big win for Zimbabwean literature: Harare-based author Simbarashe Steyn Kundizeza has claimed the 2026 Caine Prize for African Writing for his short story "The Blue Fighter". The award is given to the best short story by an African writer published in English and comes with a £10,000 pounds cash prize. FRANCE 24's Sharon Mazingaizo met with the writer.
