Quebec elects independenceists in Canadian regional elections
Will Quebec soon gain its independence from Canada? This is at least the will of the new leaders of the Canadian province. The Independent Party won yesterday the local elections with 28% of the vote and promises a referendum by 2029, after the end of Donald Trump's term. This victory undermines the message of unity launched by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in recent months.
