Demand against oil giants in America. EU could set a precedent in environmental matters
A legal battle with the potential to set a historic environmental precedent reached the U.S. Supreme Court. The judges heard the arguments in a lawsuit filed by authorities in Boulder, Colorado, against ExxonMobil and Suncor Energy oil companies, accused of contributing to climate change and of transferring the costs of events such as forest fires, floods and droughts to communities.
