Afghanistan: Ministers of Education covered by two ICC arrest warrants
The Ministers of Education and Higher Education in Afghanistan are covered by two new arrest warrants of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday. Both men are accused of gender-related persecution, a crime against humanity. For its part, the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva also urged the Taliban on Monday to repeal practices restricting the fundamental freedoms of women and girls.
