"France strives to facilitate the reopening of Ormuz": Macron on fuel crisis

The French President, Emmanuel Macron, addressed the press after meeting with political leaders, with whom he assessed the situation in the country, in the midst of external situations that have affected the Galo territory, such as the war in Ukraine, the changes in the Russian strategy and the oil crisis caused by the war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Ormuz. The President said that although France is not involved in these events, it is being affected and diplomatic efforts are being made to reopen the strategic trade step in the Middle East.

International oil prices are anchored above $100 per barrel in the Brent and WTI references, similar to those seen in mid-May. The widespread conflict in the Middle East has led to dissupply, which in turn affects the supply of derivatives such as petrol and diesel.
