A Mediterranean "cyclone" in Catalonia and floods in southern France
It was a Mediterranean or "medican" hurricane that hit Barcelona and killed at least 2 people. Mediterranean episodes become more frequent and intense each year as global warming increases. For the first time a climate pre-COP is held this week in Fiji. The island country is threatened by rising waters.
