"Where is the silver?": Javier Panza analyses the political crisis in Paraguay
The lawyers of the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, presented themselves to the House of Senators to assume the technical defence of the president, after the Senate rejected the request for a 72-hour extension. The defence clarified that, for the time being, only the legal team will appear, not the president, who will be waiting for the Senate to enable a court to exercise his defence in a personal way. The lawyer also questioned the conditions imposed by Congress and stated that they limit the scope of the defence. How did Paraguay get to this crisis? We analyzed it.
