Brazil: Presidential under influence?
In Brazil, the President, to be held on 4 October, will oppose outgoing President Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro, the eldest son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, who is serving a 27-year prison sentence for attempted coup d'état. The polls draw a second tight turn between the two men. Another issue of the campaign is American interference. Lula intends to ask Donald Trump not to interfere with the Brazilian election, while Washington has imposed new surcharges on the country.
