In Foz do Iguaçu, the Bolsonarist stronghold, the economic crisis passes bill to Lula before elections
The economy in Foz do Iguaçu is in crisis and many blame President and candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. This border city lives from the tourism of the Itaipu Hydroelectric Centre and from trade, but sales have fallen and GDP has been retracted by about 3%. In 2022, Jair Bolsonaro received 66% of the votes in Foz do Iguaçu, and since then Paraná, in southern Brazil, has become an increasingly conservative state.
