El tilcayo: the new species of wild feline discovered in Bolivia, first identified in more than a century
The tilcayo, a small mutated cat living in the cloudy forests of the Yungas, was recognized as a different species after genetic analysis. The finding, published in the scientific journal Current Biology, is the first of this kind since 1923. So far, the presence of the animal has only been confirmed in Bolivia.
