What can be understood as an EU partner and why Canada?
During the visit of the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, to Strasbourg, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, proposed that Canada become the first associate member of the European Union. For the proposal to succeed, it must be approved by each EU member, but the idea already generates discontent in the United States.
