Guinea-Bissau: Embalo's return blocked for security reasons
In Guinea-Bissau, the military in power since the November 2025 coup blocked the return of former President Umaro Sissoco Embalo, citing security concerns. In exile in Morocco, Embalo announced a few days ago his return to the country and his candidacy for the presidential elections on 6 December.
