Morocco: Employment and purchasing power...the expectations of young people before legislative elections
As the parliamentary elections of 23 September 2026 approached, employment and purchasing power were among the main concerns of young Moroccans. Between hope for change and skepticism about the ballot box, 18-34 year olds, who represent 19% of registered voters, express their expectations about unemployment and the cost of living. Almost 16 million Moroccans are called upon to elect their representatives to the National Assembly.
