Panama leaves the European Union's list of tax havens
European Union finance ministers removed Panama and Vietnam from their list of non-cooperating tax jurisdictions, following progress in their tax controls. The decision was heard during a meeting in Luxembourg. The list, created in 2017 to combat tax evasion, now includes eight countries and territories. In parallel, ECLAC highlighted in the Dominican Republic the assets and capacities of Latin America for the global economy.
