Tunisia: Decree-Law 54 relaxes, prison sentence for first offence disappears
In Tunisia, Decree 54, a text promulgated by the Presidency of the Republic in 2022, was amended on Wednesday, 30 September. This supposedly countered the dissemination of false information and rumours on social networks has been used mainly in recent years to suppress freedom of expression in the country
