Up to 500 educational centres in France will close in whole or in part on Monday for student protests
The classes will be "totally or partially suspended" on Monday in up to 500 French high schools, the Minister of Education announced, after several days of protests, sometimes violent, against the lack of teachers, the deterioration of school buildings and the overpopulation in the classrooms. The minister indicated that 24 centres had been "burned or looted" since the start of the protests.
