"Ecuador: Every 60 hours a baby is born with a drug in the blood": 'Nobody's Land'
A research published by 'Tierra de Nino' reports that in Ecuador, newborns affected by maternal consumption of psychoactive substances increased from 79 to 145 between 2021 and 2025. The highest figure in five years of registration. The problem, the medium points out, is in the absence of public policy: no toxicological screening is done at birth, there is no state protocol and do not measure what happens next with these babies.
