A shot of grace?: the death of a young peasant reopens the wounds of false positives in Colombia
A joint operation of the Colombian Anti-Narcotics Police and Air Force in the rural area of the Caribbean city of Santa Marta ended with seven deaths. One of them was Ricardo Andrés Martínez Rodríguez, who was initially introduced as the son of Fredy Castillo Carrillo, alias' Pinocchio ', leader of Self-Defense Conquistadores de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN). The reality is that he was a humble, displaced laborer. Today his father claims that he was killed with a shot of grace and his mother calls for justice.
