Myanmar: Air attack on a market leaves at least 50 dead
A Myanmar Army air attack on a crowded market in Rakain left at least 50 dead and about 60 injured. The victims included traders, buyers and bystanders who were in the area at the time of the bombing, including women and children. People in the area rejected the actions of the Army and denied ties with the militias that control Rakain.
