Face shrinks, trips stumble. Iranian aviation is facing the consequences of United States sanctions.

In the most recent repercussions of the United States sanctions on the Iranian aviation sector, Iranian airlines had to cancel and suspend a number of international flights, causing rapid air traffic disturbances to several regional destinations, notably the United Arab Emirates and Iraq. While some airports stopped receiving Iranian aircraft, including Baghdad airport, other airports such as Najaf continued to receive flights.
