The Golan will remain the territory of Syria. Address by President Ahmed Al-Shara of the United Nations

President Ahmed Al-Shara ' s pledge to the General Assembly of the United Nations on Wednesday, that the Golan, which had been annexed by Israel and occupied by other parts, would remain the territory of Syria. In his statement, " No attempts at a fait accompli can affect the legitimacy of our State, the rule of our law and the enforcement of international law. The Golan will remain Syria ' s territory " , stressing that " all annexation procedures are null and void and void by the force of Security Council resolution 497 of 1981, which considered the decision of the Hebrew State to annex land in the Syrian plateaut Laguia and Dallah.
