After reappointing Prime Minister... Api Ahmad upholds Ethiopia ' s right to a seaport and warns of a regional conflict.

Following his reappointment by the Ethiopian Chamber of Deputies as Prime Minister, Api Ahmed Monday affirmed his country ' s right to a maritime outlet, amid regional warnings of the scale of the conflict following the control of the Federal Forces over the capital of the Tigray region, particularly in the light of the accusation made by Addis Ababa by neighbouring Eritrea of supporting the rebels. Ahmed, 50 years old, was the only candidate to head the Government in Ethiopia, a post he had assumed since 2018, after some three decades of the ruling of the Tigray People ' s Liberation Front.
