Following Prime Minister Lukorno ' s discourse calling for calm without publicizing concrete action, student protests were renewed. On the morning of Thursday, 375 out of 3,700 educational institutions were suspended in whole or in part.
The French Minister of the Interior, Laurent Núñez, announced Wednesday, in a radio statement, that the use of sound bombs had been suspended during the protests of secondary school students, until the circumstances of a 15-year-old demonstrator who had been amputated. The decision is made as protests continue throughout France to demand improved conditions of study.
The Egyptian Government, represented at the Supreme Council for the Organization of Information and the National Communication Regulatory Authority, issued a new resolution requiring social networking platforms to take action to protect children under the age of 15.
