Israeli President Yitzhak Hertzog began consultations with political parties to form a new Government following elections which he said had not yielded an explicit winner, calling on party leaders to reach a settlement. The Common Arab List Party, one of the main Arab-Israeli formations, announced that it would recommend to the Head of State the assignment of Eisencot to form the next Government.
