Bosnia elections: pro-Russia party proclaims victory in the Republic of Bosnian Serbs
The former Bosnian Serb leader, Milorad Dodik, loyal to Russia, announced Sunday that his party had retained authority in the Bosnian Serb Republic ( Republika Srpska), in general elections, which saw a significant decline in participation of about 42%, 10 points less than the 2022 elections. Preliminary results show that Dodik Zeleka Shvianović ' s candidate is present for the maintenance of the Serbian seat in the tripartite presidency, while the outgoing President Dennis Betcherović is the lead on the Bosnian seat.
