The offensive of the pro-Iranian Houthis rebels against Saudi Arabia was condemned by the UN Security Council in the aftermath of further attacks. In Yemen, the head of the Presidential Council, Rachad al-Alimi, called for a general mobilization of the population against the Houthis, calling on all those who would defect into the Houthis ranks to join the armed forces.
